Best Beaches in Mallorca: Stunning Beaches + Map

Mallorca is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. With turquoise water, dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and endless coastline to explore, deciding which beaches to visit can honestly feel overwhelming.

Before our trip, we spent a lot of time researching which beaches in Mallorca were actually worth adding to our itinerary. The island has everything from easy-to-access sandy beaches to hidden coves that require a little more effort to reach.

During our time in Mallorca, we made it a goal to explore as many beaches as possible. Some were famous for a reason, while others surprised us with how beautiful and peaceful they were.

Every beach in this guide was personally visited by us, and all photos were taken during our trip. If you’re planning a Mallorca itinerary and want to know which beaches are worth your time, these are the ones we recommend.

1. Caló des Moro

Caló des Moro is probably the most famous beach in Mallorca, and after visiting, we understood why.

This tiny cove is surrounded by rocky cliffs and has some of the clearest turquoise water we saw during our trip. It looks almost too perfect to be real, and it quickly became one of the most photographed spots on the island.

Because of its popularity, timing is everything. We recommend arriving early in the morning if you want a quieter experience and a better chance of enjoying the views without large crowds.

The walk down to the beach is short but uneven, so comfortable shoes are a good idea.

Our tip: Pair Caló des Moro with nearby Cala Llombards. They’re close together and make for the perfect beach-hopping day.

2. Cala Llombards

Just a short distance from Caló des Moro, Cala Llombards offers another beautiful slice of Mallorca’s coastline.

The water here is incredibly clear, and the surrounding cliffs create that classic Mediterranean look Mallorca is known for. Compared to some of the smaller hidden coves, Cala Llombards feels a little more spacious and easier to enjoy for a longer beach day.

This is a great option if you want stunning scenery without as much effort getting there.

Why we loved it: The combination of turquoise water, cliffs, and easy access made it one of the most enjoyable beaches we visited.

3. Cala Mondragó

Located inside Mondragó Natural Park, Cala Mondragó was one of the easiest beaches we visited and one of the most relaxing.

The beach has soft sand, calm shallow water, and beautiful natural surroundings. There are also walking paths nearby, so you can explore more of the coastline beyond just the beach.

Compared to some of Mallorca’s smaller coves, Cala Mondragó gives you more space while still offering the incredible blue water the island is famous for.

Best for: A relaxing beach day with beautiful scenery and easy access.

4. Cala Varques

Cala Varques was one of the biggest adventures of our Mallorca beach hunt.

Getting there took more effort than any other beach we visited. We had to park along the main road and walk approximately two miles to reach the beach.

The walk itself wasn’t extremely difficult, but you’ll definitely want comfortable shoes, water, and enough time to make the journey. The extra effort is exactly what helps Cala Varques feel more untouched than many of Mallorca’s other beaches.

When we arrived, we were rewarded with a beautiful natural cove surrounded by cliffs and clear blue water. It felt like we had discovered a hidden corner of the island.

Our tip: Don’t underestimate the walk. Bring water, wear proper shoes, and plan enough time to enjoy the beach once you arrive.

5. Sa Calobra & Torrent de Pareis

Sa Calobra was unlike anywhere else we visited in Mallorca.

Even getting there is an adventure. The drive down the winding mountain road offers incredible views and makes the journey just as memorable as the destination.

There are actually two beaches here. The first is the small pebble beach near the harbor, while the second is Torrent de Pareis, which sits between enormous limestone cliffs.

Walking through the narrow rock passage into Torrent de Pareis was one of the most unique experiences of our trip. The scale of the cliffs surrounding the beach makes it feel completely different from anywhere else on the island.

Our tip: Give yourself extra time here. The drive is beautiful, and you’ll want to stop along the way for photos.

6. Cala Tuent

Cala Tuent was one of the more peaceful beaches we visited in Mallorca and felt like a hidden escape from the island’s busier spots.

Located along the northwest coast, this beach is surrounded by mountains and dramatic scenery. The drive there is part of the experience, with winding roads and incredible views along the coastline.

The beach itself has a more natural, untouched feel compared to some of Mallorca’s developed beaches. The clear water, mountain backdrop, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

Our tip: Cala Tuent pairs well with Sa Calobra if you’re exploring Mallorca’s northwest coast. The drive takes time, but the scenery is some of the best on the island.

7. Cala Deià

Cala Deià has a completely different atmosphere from Mallorca’s famous sandy beaches.

Instead of soft sand, you’ll find a rocky shoreline surrounded by mountains and crystal-clear water. The scenery here feels dramatic, peaceful, and completely unique.

It’s a great place to swim, relax by the water, and explore the charming village of Deià nearby.

Why we loved it: Cala Deià showed us another side of Mallorca’s coastline beyond the postcard-perfect turquoise coves.

8. Cala Santanyí

Cala Santanyí is a beautiful, easy-to-access beach with calm water and a relaxed atmosphere.

While the main beach is worth visiting, our favorite discovery was actually along the cliffs nearby. We walked along the coastline and found a small swimming spot with a pool ladder leading directly into the sea.

It felt like finding our own hidden swimming area away from the crowds. The water was incredibly clear, and the cliffside views made it one of our favorite unexpected moments in Mallorca.

Our tip: Explore beyond the main beach. Some of the best swimming spots aren’t always on the sand.

9. Cala Ferrera

Cala Ferrera is a beautiful beach near Cala d’Or that offers the classic Mallorca beach experience: turquoise water, rocky cliffs, and easy swimming.

Because of its location near hotels and restaurants, it feels more developed than some of Mallorca’s hidden coves. However, the water is still incredibly clear and makes it a great place for a relaxing afternoon.

Best for: Travelers looking for a beautiful beach that is convenient and easy to access.

10. Playa Cala Egos

Playa Cala Egos was another beautiful cove we visited near the Cala d’Or area.

The protected bay creates calm water that’s perfect for swimming, and the smaller size gives it a more peaceful feeling compared to some of Mallorca’s larger beaches.

It’s a great stop if you’re exploring the southeast side of the island.

11. Sa Font Salada

Sa Font Salada was one of the most unique beaches we visited in Mallorca.

Unlike many beaches where you simply park nearby and walk down to the water, we arrived by boat, which made the experience even more memorable.

Approaching the beach from the water gave us incredible views of the coastline and made it feel like a true hidden gem. If you visit by land, be prepared for more of an adventure, as reaching Sa Font Salada requires a hike.

The extra effort helps keep this beach quieter and gives it a more secluded feeling.

Our tip: If you have the chance to visit by boat, do it. Seeing Mallorca’s coastline from the water was one of our favorite memories from the trip.

Mallorca has no shortage of incredible beaches, but some of our favorite memories came from the places that required a little extra effort to reach. Whether it was the two-mile walk to Cala Varques, discovering a hidden swimming spot at Cala Santanyí, or arriving at Sa Font Salada by boat, those experiences made these beaches unforgettable.
